Save the Children join a growing Wil-U family

We are delighted to announce that Save the Children are now part of the Wil-U family! They join Martlets Hospice, John Eastwood Hospice, Penny Brohn, Wakefield Samaritans and the Fertility Foundation as the sixth charity to be welcomed into the Wil-U family over lockdown.

Save the Children UK rolled out Wil-U POS and Wil-U Gift Aid to all of their shops in July. The upgrade has updated Save the Children’s entire retail technology estate with our more modern and streamlined software platform.

Wil-U gives Save the Children shop managers increased accessibility and visibility of their shop’s performance allowing them to push forwards with a more innovative and efficient way of working.

“We’ve taken the opportunity over the last few months to really look at how we can improve and build for a successful future. Wil-U provides increased flexibility to our reporting and communication, helping us towards a more efficient way of working which has a direct impact on our bottom line,” explains Ian Matthews, Trading Director at Save the Children UK.

“Our priority is to ensure volunteers have the best possible systems in place to allow them to work effectively and being able to upgrade the system with minimum disruption has been a huge plus. Wil-U opens up a lot of options for us to innovate in the future and we’re looking forward to seeing where it takes us.”

Richard Dorf, CEO at Wil-U said, “Save the Children are real leaders in the charity retail space and have been pushing the limits of people’s ideas of what charity shops look like for a while. We’re thrilled that they’ve chosen Wil-U to help their retail team work more efficiently with their shops. Wil-U is on a mission to create affordable and easy-to-use charity shop technology and we’re extremely proud of the progress we have made in providing this market with truly innovative solutions. We are delighted that Save the Children has joined the Wil-U family and we look forward to contributing to their success for many years to come.”

While these turbulent times are certainly not behind us yet, it’s great to see so many great causes building for a successful future and choosing an easier way to do good with Wil-U.
