
Another year, another conference, and what a quacking event it turned out to be.
Last week, the Wil-U team had the pleasure of exhibiting at the Charity Retail Conference & Exhibition 2025, hosted by the Charity Retail Association. Held over two inspiring days at the Harrogate Convention Centre, this annual event once again proved to be a key gathering for the charity retail sector. It brought together hundreds of dedicated professionals and volunteers, all united by a shared passion for driving impact through innovation, resilience, and community spirit.
This year’s theme, “Challenging Times, Creative Solutions,” couldn’t have been timelier. The sector continues to navigate a complex and evolving landscape, and yet, the atmosphere throughout the event was one of optimism, collaboration, and forward-thinking.
One of the true highlights of the week came during the Charity Retail Awards Ceremony on Wednesday evening, where we were thrilled to see one of our valued customers, USPCA Charity Shops, recognised with not one but two prestigious awards:
🏆 Retail Employee of the Year: Sue Wallbanks (USPCA Banbridge)
🏆 Shop of the Year: USPCA Lurgan
This incredible achievement is a testament to the dedication, passion, and innovation of the USPCA retail team. We are honoured to support them through the Wil-U solutions, helping their shops with tools that streamline operations, enhance their Gift Aid experience, and ultimately further their vital mission in the community. As always, our team enjoyed countless meaningful conversations throughout the conference, demonstrating the value of strong partnerships and digital solutions in today’s charity retail environment. And of course, we couldn’t resist bringing along our beloved mascot, Bil the Wil-U Duck. He proved to be quite the crowd-pleaser.
