Introducing Wil-U POS

When we created Wil-U, we thought long and hard about what would make it the best charity shop solution out there. We knew we wanted to make things easier for charities and create simple technology that didn’t cost an arm and a leg. We wanted to create a solution that could be built around a charity’s priorities and not force them to spend lots of money on huge systems for one benefit. We wanted to make it easier for charities to adopt technology in shops.

After launching Wil-U Gift Aid, which helps shops increase Gift Aid sign ups, we thought that creating a POS would be a logical next step.

From working in the charity sector, we didn’t see any charity shop solution from a single supplier that did everything from Gift Aid to sales to engaging supporters in an uncomplicated and affordable way. In fact, from our conversations with people who work in the charity sector, we found that many of the POS solutions currently available to charities were often unnecessarily complex and expensive with big upfront costs just to get started.

With this in mind, we created Wil-U POS; a straightforward point-of-sale solution that simplifies the process of making sales and tracking Gift Aid. It only has the features you need so you’re not paying for functionality you won’t use. It’s hosted on a tablet which makes it more cost effective and reduces large barriers between volunteers and customers.

The interface is clean and modern and designed to be accessible for everyone. All of your sales data is viewable in the Control Centre which can be accessed anywhere, on any device with an internet connection!

Best of all, Wil-U POS is available for a small monthly subscription fee with no capital expenditure needed. Our subscription fees include all of the software (and upgrades), the necessary hardware (with replacements and repairs included when needed), delivery and support from our friendly expert team. No confusing added costs or huge upfront payments, just a transparent fee that includes everything you need.

We’ve worked with POS solutions for almost twenty years. We’ve integrated with them, resold them, transferred data from them, and helped many businesses get more from them. Now we finally have a POS of our own and we’re so excited about the future of Wil-U.
