In 2023, Inspire By joined forces with Community Integrated Care, broadening its reach and strengthening its impact. This partnership unites shared values and complementary expertise, with Community Integrated Care bringing extensive experience in supporting people with care needs.
The merger has enabled Inspire By to expand its capacity and continue delivering meaningful, life‑enhancing opportunities for the people it supports. This growth and innovation have been recognised nationally. Inspire By became finalists in the Great British Care Awards in the Care Innovator category and proudly won the Scottish Regional Award for Care Innovation.

In 2023, Inspire By merged with Community Integrated Care, expanding its reach and impact. This partnership brings together shared values and resources, with Community Integrated Care offering a wealth of experience in supporting individuals with care needs. The merger has allowed Inspire By to grow its capacity and continue to provide meaningful opportunities for those involved. Leading to being finalists in the Great British Care Awards – Care Innovator Category. Won Scottish Regional Award – Care Innovator Category.
Making an Impact through Charity Retail
Inspire By currently supports over 70 individuals across four shop locations. Each person’s support is tailored to their strengths and ambitions, with roles that suit their unique journey. The initiative focuses on empowering people with learning disabilities and additional support needs, helping them build employability skills and gain qualifications by working in the shops, while also addressing social isolation and building meaningful relationships.
Beyond selling clothes and bric‑a‑brac, each shop acts as a genuine community hub — offering everyday support and creating a welcoming space for people to meet, connect, and access other local groups and services. Each service brings its own unique creative touch, from crafting resin artwork, small animal characters, keyrings, and the much‑loved little Highland cows, to producing both liquid and hard soaps, each thoughtfully packaged with a personalised note. Other handmade items include paper flowers, bookmarks, and more.
